District Scout Leader

Sammy Butler:

Howdy! Iím Sammy. Member of the Scout Team and the Digital Team.
I started as a Guide in 2002 moving on to be a young leader in my unit, then Assistant Leader. I moved over to Scouting when my Unitís number dropped too low and we lost the group ☹
I joined the 21st Medway as an Assistant Leader in the Scout section but after 2 years took on the role of Scout Leader in the Group. Iíve watched the Group grow rapidly to the amazing family we are!
I have a degree in Digital Animation and am a Graphic Design Teacher but currently I am raising my little handful, Riley.

Dave Payne:

Hi my name is Dave. I have been a Leader for over 30 years with the same group the 30th Strood, where I have been the Scout Leader for nearly 20 years, I'm also an Assistant Beaver Leader and Explorer Leader. I also do all the National events at Gilwell Park as a Staff Member and am part of the Service Crew at Buckmore Park.

Tommy Chaggar - Youth Commissioner:

I have been in Scouting since before I can remember and not once have I looked back. As a Scout I attended the World Scout Jamboree in Japan where I mixed with over thirty thousand other young people, explored new cities and gained a different perspective on Scouting as a whole. Another snapshot was during my trip to Kandersteg in which we white-water rafted, hiked up a side of a mountain and explored another new city. To me Scouting is about adventure and incorporating this into our District is what I aim to achieve
