Cubs

Cub Scouts are young people usually aged between eight and ten and a half years old.

They belong to the second section in the Scouting family. Young people can join Cub Scouts in the three months leading up to their eighth birthday. They usually move up to the next section, Scouts, at ten and a half years old.

Cub Scouts get the chance to participate in loads of fun events. They will get the opportunity to try lots of different activities like hiking, exploring and camping. In addition to this, Cubs will enjoy a full programme of events in their Pack meetings. They will also have the opportunity to work towards badges.

Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or sports venues. Cubs will usually have the opportunity go camping with the rest of their Pack. This gives them the chance to experience a range of outdoor activities and to develop valuable Scouting skills.
