100 Years of Remembrance

Lest We Forget

To mark the centenary of the end of the First World War Medway Towns Scouts attended the Remembrance Parade in Chatham. We paraded along the high street up to Victoria Gardens where a service was held to commemorate 100 years since the guns fell silent.

Medway Towns Scouts have a very special place in their hearts when it comes to remembering those that have fought for our freedom with the scouts playing a very special role in enabling the war effort by working as messengers and supporting the Land Army.

There was a tremendous turn out on Sunday and respects were paid for those who lost their lives in defense of our country and our freedoms in every conflict for the last one hundred years.
