Are there any further details with regard to this event? As it is half term my son's pack is not meeting before the 18th and he's not been before so we would like to know more about it.

Hi, was just wondering if your Group was actually entering a team or were you just thinking of going alone as this is not how it works. Groups have to enter a team and I am guessing that if you do not know what's going on, that they are not! But if your Scout is part of your Group's team then this is how it works; the evening is a base to base style of competition and each team gains points for each activity they take part in on each base with points awarded for completion of the task, team work, time etc. Points are also awarded at the beginning for correct uniform and a few other bits and pieces and the team with the most points at the end of the evening are the winners although you don't find out which team has won until a day or so later as it finishes quite late. Bases have been things like knowing your promise, water activities, problem solving etc.
