Hi there
I am Shaun from Bezerkaz Circus!
We are currently running a circus kit giveaway via the Scouting Magazine
Website - http://www.scouts.org.uk/wp_magazines/compsoffers/competitions/circus-ki....
Based in Surrey and visiting Groups, Districts and Counties all over England,
we are very well known in Scouting and we offer circus skills workshops with a
wide range of juggling activities, diabolo, plate spinning, unicycle, balancing activities etc.
We have been offering circus activities since 2001 and have worked with Scouts in all manner of environment, from weekly meetings to district camps large internationals, including the World Scout Jamboree Centenary Camp, Eurojam, CUMBAREE, Sherwood International, Poacher as well as 2 Chamborees in Cheshire. I also performed at the huge Guiding 100 Camp at Harewood House in 2010.
We have helped countless numbers of excited children to achieve their circus skills badge.
We have also run special workshops for youth leaders and Scout Leaders in cooperative games and basic circus skills that they can use in their work with children. We have also helped literally countless numbers of Scouts, Cubs, Guides and Brownies achieve their circus skills badge.
Last year we provided hugely successful workshops and performances at Charnwood International Jamboree 2011.
We have lots of experience of working in all settings and have been recommended by the National Scouting Activity Team, Guiding Magazine as well as working with dozens of schools and also having worked at many large international events. We are happy to supply referees at your request as well as CRBs and our 10M Pounds Public Liability Insurance.
In addition to workshops also offer street style circus shows, meet and greet stilt walkers / jugglers, walkabout entertainment, gigantic bubbles, unicyclists illuminated juggling or fire shows. These can be integrated into an evening sessions or circus activity day and performed at the beginning, lunchtime or woven throughout the day in order to break up the activities.
The main aim is for learners to have lots of fun while attempting activities which are challenging but achievable. There is a wide range of activities and so all students will find something that they naturally warm to. Everybody will learn something they never realised they could, both alone and within group activities - hence giving a boost to self confidence.
Please do tell groups within your County about us and please do visit our website:
