Hello, my son Alexander, is almost eight and would like to become a beaver.
We live in Chatham and my son goes to lordswood School.
My question is are there places still available and is there a beaver group near lordswood school as will will be getting a bus and i am not too familiar with the area.

Hi, I have a 6 year old son that has been on a waiting list for over a year and is desperate to join beavers.His older brother is in the scouts, but there is no availablity. We live in Sundridge Drive, me5 and would welcome a place in a local pack.

Your nearest is the 6th Lordswood just off Ballens Road, Lordswood.
They have no contact on this page so I have emailed someone to find out who you need to contact and will let you know as soon as I do.

My son turns six in September and has expressed an interest in joining a local Beavers group. We live in Rochester, ME1. Thanks Lisa.

Hi to all those wishing their child to join Beavers.
Your child normally would start Beavers at 6 years of age but SOME Groups will take them at 5 and a half (please speak to individual Groups regarding this age).
Some Groups have waiting lists for joining whether that is before they are 6 or if they are 6 and full the child's name can be put on the list until a space becomes available.
A list of all the Groups in the Medway area are in the GROUP LINKS tab at the top of the page and there you can contact which Group you choose.
I think most of you who have posted recently are in the Rochester area and we have a few Groups around! 44th Medway (Castle Avenue), 21st Medway (City Way / St William's Way) and 28th Medway (Breton Road). We also have a Group near Balfour School and one in Borstal.
If you choose a Group that does not have an actual link then please post here again and I will do my best to help you.

My son will be 10 in January, I want to get him into CUBS, we are near Broomhill Park in Strood, can you tell me how to get him in please? Or where the nearest group meetings are, so we can go and get him enrolled there and then? We've been trying for 2.5yrs to get him enrolled and NO ONE has EVER replied to us! (We've tried calling local Scout Section Leaders as well as emailing Head Office etc). We're really frustrated that it's taking so long and so much hard work just to try and get him into something HE wants to do, all because there is a problem of miscommunication between Head Office and local leaders (so we were told by one local leader...!!). Please can we get him in ASAP!!
