The Medway Towns Appointments Secretary warned GSLs that several CRB forms had been returned as they had been incorrectly completed. The address history on CRB forms must go back at least five years.

The Appointments Sub Committee had planned three meetings for appointment interviews. Unfortunately one had to be cancelled due to the snow, but eleven people had been interviewed. Two more meetings are planned for the 26th March and 2nd April and attendees and their GSL have / will be notified. The Appointments Secretary is aware of about twelve more adults who will still be waiting after these meetings.

Review forms had been sent out to all GSLs. So far twenty one out of seventy one had been returned. Appointments will probably not be renewed if these are not completed and returned so would all GSLs please make sure they get done.

If a Leader is changing their position in Scouting, e.g. Assistant to Section Leader or vice versa, they must complete an Adult Appointment (AA) form which should be returned to the Appointments Secretary via their GSL.

It was requested at the meeting that GSLs are notified about the outcome of CRB checks, rather than being left to assume everything went okay.
